Human Resources Coordinator

Savannah Neurology Specialists is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator in Savannah, GA (onsite). This full-time role supports day-to-day HR administration, helping employees through onboarding, benefits coordination, and records management while maintaining compliance with employment laws and provider requirements. In this position, you'll play a steady, operational role across training tracking, hiring support, employee eligibility verification, and HR program administration. You'll also contribute to a well-organized employee experience by maintaining documentation, updating the Savannah Neurology intranet , and supporting new-hire communications and recognition initiatives. Responsibilities Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications. Support recruitment by recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating hiring for open roles, partnering with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies. Conduct or obtain background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Coordinate new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Assist with administrative HR program tasks, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity and morale-related activities, occupational health and safety, and training and development. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate managers. Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to support successful outcomes and follow up to confirm training objectives are met. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices, and review policies and practices to support compliance. Stay current on HR and employment law trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies relevant to human resources and talent management. Update pertinent information on the Savannah Neurology intranet and introduce new employees via email. Maintain an employee board in the breakroom. Maintain provider licenses and DEA active status as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to learn the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, and related administrative practices. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities. At least 1 year of human resources or administrative assistant experience a plus. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP a plus.
