Production Technician

Production TechnicianWe are actively seeking dependable and detail-oriented Production Technicians for full-time 1st shift manufacturing opportunities in Erie, PA. Composites Technicians work with specialized materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, resins, adhesives, foam, and other composite materials to manufacture high-quality molded components. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable learning specialized manufacturing processes. Previous composite manufacturing experience is beneficial, but candidates with related production, assembly, fabrication, or hands-on manufacturing experience are encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, cut, lay up, assemble, and process composite materials according to job specificationsWork with fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, resins, adhesives, foam, and related materialsRead and follow job travelers, engineered drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specificationsAccurately record serial numbers, lot numbers, expiration dates, quantities, and other required production informationComplete job travelers, move tickets, traceability records, and other required documentationPrepare and assemble foam, core materials, and components using approved adhesives and processesHand-cut and trim composite materials to required dimensionsOperate resin pumps and equipment used in resin infusion processesAssist with lay-up and molding processesUse standard measuring tools to verify dimensions and specificationsPerform visual inspections of materials and completed componentsInspect cured composite parts for defects, inconsistencies, or quality concernsPerform required equipment cleaning and preventative maintenanceMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow established safety procedures, quality requirements, and company policiesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentMust be at least 18 years of ageStrong attention to detailAbility to read and follow written work instructions and engineered drawingsBasic computer skillsBasic math and measurement skillsAbility to accurately complete production and traceability documentationAbility to learn specialized composite manufacturing processesDependable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to work independently and as part of a production teamPreferred Skills:Previous composite manufacturing experienceManufacturing, production, assembly, or fabrication experienceExperience working with fiberglass, carbon fiber, Kevlar, resins, or adhesivesFamiliarity with resin infusion or molding processesExperience with hand tools and basic assembly techniquesAbility to read prints and engineered drawingsExperience using standard measuring equipmentUnderstanding of manufacturing shop workflowFamiliarity with PDM WorksExperience completing production or quality documentationPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand or sit for extended periodsAbility to perform repetitive hand and arm movementsManual dexterity for cutting, positioning, assembling, and handling composite materialsAbility to lift and move materials and components as requiredGood corrected vision for detailed assembly and visual inspectionAbility to bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workdayAbility to safely work with resins, adhesives, composite materials, and manufacturing equipmentAbility to wear required personal protective equipmentWhat We Offer:Full-time 1st shift opportunityCompetitive compensationHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offOn-the-job trainingOpportunities to develop specialized manufacturing skillsOpportunities for advancementStable, team-oriented manufacturing environmentStart an exciting new career in advanced manufacturing with a company you can grow with — Apply today!
