Contract | Nights (19:00-07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, managing a mix of medical-surgical overflow and non-acute stroke patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1 and collaborate with nurse aides assigned at an average ratio of 8:1-10:1
• Titrate drips including insulin and pain medications per protocol
• Validate telemetry strips as required; unit utilizes centralized telemetry monitoring
• Manage and monitor patients requiring BiPAP and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Float to other units as needed and fulfill weekend and holiday rotation requirements based on unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Washington
• Epic EMR experience is required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical experience with Telemetry

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for stroke patients in a non-acute setting
• Familiarity with self-scheduling systems and filling open shifts
• Experience working within a charge nurse and house supervisor leadership structure
