Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients. The role involves assessing patient conditions, developing nursing care plans, implementing healthcare processes, and ensuring collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, assess patient health conditions, and implement care plans.
• Measure and record vital signs and complete medication reconciliation processes.
• Triage patient concerns and provide nursing advice in clinic and via telephone.
• Manage healthcare forms, authorizations, and insurance processes.
• Administer medications and document patient responses and education provided.
• Coordinate patient care and diagnostic testing, prepare and process lab samples.
• Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement efforts, and special projects.
• Practice safety, environmental, and infection control methods.
• Assist in training and orienting new staff members.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
• Current Ohio Registered Nurse license.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• Knowledge of triage procedures and experience in clinic or urgent care settings.
• Experience in hospital surgical divisions, outpatient centers, or multi-specialty clinical systems is preferred.

Schedule/Shift

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
