Senior Program Manager SME

Title: Senior Program Manager SME Location: Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the local Wright‑Patterson AFB area. Role Overview Senior Program Manager - Product Improvement and Aircraft Maintenance Subject Matter Expert to support the KC‑46 Division (AFLCMC/WLCS) at Wright‑Patterson AFB. The successful candidate will provide acquisition planning and execution support to the KC‑46 Division, leveraging a strong background in DoW acquisition processes. Key Responsibilities Develop acquisition planning and execution documentation for complex defense projects; analyze cost, schedule, performance, and risk. Provide acquisition planning and execution support across the full lifecycle, including requirements development, system design, testing, fielding, and sustainment. Apply expertise in DoW acquisition processes to support product improvement and aircraft maintenance areas. Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders across government, contractor organizations, and war‑fighter communities. Develop, track, and analyze program metrics to ensure effective program oversight and decision‑making. Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and status updates to senior leadership. Ensure program compliance with DoW, Air Force, and AFLCMC policies, regulations, and acquisition frameworks. Identify program risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and drive timely resolution. Lead and facilitate Integrated Product Teams and stakeholder organizations to ensure alignment across functional areas. Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications 15+ years of experience managing aviation maintenance projects. Experience executing aircraft Product Improvement Working Groups. Desired Qualifications Air Force aviation maintenance experience. Experience supporting multiple aircraft: F‑35, F‑22, F‑15, F‑16, KC‑10. Low observable and maintenance experience. KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
