ReceptionistThe Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for members, guests, and visitors at the University Club of St. Paul. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional member service, managing front desk and reception operations, and supporting membership, dining, and event-related activities in a professional private club environment.Key Responsibilities:Greeting all members and guests professionally upon entry to and exit from the University ClubAnswer member questions and address concerns promptly and courteouslyAssist with reservation and logistical inquiries related to the Davidson HotelMaintain a friendly, welcoming, and professional presence at all timesAnswer and manage incoming phone calls and front desk inquiriesMonitor and respond to all emails sent to the receptionist email account in a timely mannerComplete and send Letters of Introduction for members and reciprocal clubs promptlySchedule, update, and follow up on University Club restaurant reservationsCommunicate and coordinate large reservations or special seating requests with the Front of House (FOH) ManagerSort, distribute, and deliver incoming mail and packagesMaintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk areaEnsure cleanliness of all first-floor member spaces, including the Fireside Room, Terrace, and SummitEnsure coffee, tea, and water stations in the Fireside Room are continuously stockedEnsure lobby music is playing during operating hours and turned off in designated rooms for events as neededOpen the club in the morning and close and secure the University Club building at night, depending on shift assignmentAssist the Events and Membership departments with additional tasks as neededPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementFront Desk Qualities & QualificationsExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsFriendly, personable, and professional demeanor when interacting with members and guestsWell-organized with strong attention to detailDresses appropriately and maintains a professional appearanceAbility to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, member-focused environmentPrior experience in hospitality, reception, or customer service preferredThis position operates in a professional private club setting and may require standing, walking, and interacting with members for extended periods.
