Electrical Engineer

Mid-Level Electrical Engineer

Seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer with strong technical fundamentals and solid project experience to support and lead electrical design efforts across a variety of building projects. This role is ideal for an engineer ready to take on more independent design responsibilities, client coordination, and project ownership while progressing toward senior-level leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support electrical design and analysis for building systems and campuses
• Perform design of power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications systems
• Conduct electrical analysis such as arc flash studies and load calculations
• Manage large projects and oversee smaller projects led by junior engineers

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical design for building systems
• Strong knowledge of the Chicago Electrical Code (required)
• Experience with NEC/NESC and relevant industry standards
• Familiarity with IESNA lighting recommendations
• Experience with higher education, healthcare, or complex facilities preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Software Proficiency

• Revit
• SKM or similar power analysis software
• AGI32 or similar photometric software
