The Emergency Department at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a supportive and stable work environment, caring for a variety of patients across the lifespan. This 32- Bed unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. Nurses in this unit benefit from a collaborative team culture, and the opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience.

How you'll contribute 

\n

A Registered Nurse (RN)  who excels in this role:

\n

\n
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
\n
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
\n
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
\n
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
\n
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
\n
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
\n

What we're looking for 

\n

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

\n

\n
• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
\n
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
\n
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
\n
• Two or more years of RN Emergency Department experience required.
