Pay: $20.00-$25.00/hour Shift: Days | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Location: Springfield, MO Benefits: Full benefits packageAbout the RoleJoin a growing manufacturing company as an Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for processing high-volume invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience managing accounts payable in a fast-paced environment.Job ResponsibilitiesProcess and code vendor invoices accurately in accordance with company policies and the chart of accountsReview invoices for proper approvals and supporting documentation prior to processingResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies by working directly with internal departments and vendorsPrepare accounts payable check runs and process approved electronic paymentsMaintain organized accounts payable records and paid invoice filesManage prepaid expense accounts and assist with month-end closing activitiesRespond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationshipsPrepare reports and key performance metrics related to accounts payable activitiesProcess petty cash requests and maintain accurate recordsPrepare annual 1099 reporting documentationMaintain daily cash receipt logs and reconcile received-but-not-invoiced transactionsProvide cross-functional support to the Accounts Receivable team as neededEnsure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company accounting proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required3+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environmentStrong understanding of general accounting principles and accounts payable processesExcellent data entry accuracy and attention to detailExperience resolving invoice discrepancies and working with vendorsProficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting softwareStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlinesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentIf you're interested, please apply!
