Exciting Opportunity for a General Cardiologist

Our organization in Mason City, Iowa, is presenting a remarkable chance for a board-certified or board-eligible non-invasive General Cardiologist to become part of our Cardiology department. We are a physician-owned, multi-specialty group dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare.

Opportunity Highlights

• Become a member of a thriving team consisting of 10 physicians, 10 fellows, and 7 nurse practitioners.
• Participate in a call rotation of 1:6, with the potential for additional call compensation of $500 per day, and fellows will take the first call.
• Engage in a diverse practice that includes inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services.
• Offer a comprehensive range of cardiology services, encompassing non-invasive, invasive, interventional, and electrophysiology, in collaboration with cardiac and vascular surgery teams. Proficiency in transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and cardioversions is required.
• Benefit from training opportunities through our Cardiology fellowship program, which includes three residents annually and an interventional Cardiology Fellowship accepting one fellow per year.
• Explore outreach opportunities at one of our 10 critical access hospitals within our 14-county network.
• Serve a primary service area with a population of approximately 260,000.
• Work at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital.
• Be part of a Level III Trauma Center featuring a 24/7 staffed emergency department, hospitalist services, helicopter transport, and advanced catheterization labs.

Opportunity Details

• Attractive guaranteed base salary of $599,804 per year, plus production incentives (two-year guaranteed base).
• Generous bonus package totaling $100,000.

Qualifications

A graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school is required. Candidates should demonstrate competency through completion of an appropriate residency program and must be board certified or board eligible. Eligibility for medical staff privileges at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa is necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, as well as an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and a Federal DEA Certificate.
