Sterile Processing Technician

Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician is essential. Certifications in CRCST or CBSPD are required. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in sterile processing. The position requires working night shifts from 22:00 to 06:30. Weekends will be required, with call expected on weekends. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary as no requests can be accommodated. The average daily surgical case volume is between 65 and 70. The daily average tray volume is approximately 500. Skills required include the proper selection of wrapping materials and steam sterilization testing. Experience in large hospital settings is highly recommended. Candidates should be familiar with the use of sterilization and decontamination equipment. References from previous employment may be needed. All candidates must be prepared to submit supporting documentation as necessary. This position does not allow for an exemption from vaccination requirements for the flu. Compliance with all required modules and training is expected before starting. Max time off allowed is 10 days, with no requests within the first 2 weeks of assignment.
