Sterile Processing Technician - Sterile Processing

Schedule: Shift: Nights 22:00–06:30

Requirements:

• Active CA state license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: CRCST or CBSPD (must have at time of submission)
• 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
• References: 2 supervisor references from within the past year required at time of submission

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain and ensure the sterilization and cleanliness of medical instruments and equipment.
• Assemble and prepare surgical instrument sets and case carts for surgical procedures.
• Operate sterilizers, washers, and decontamination equipment effectively.
• Track instruments using tracking systems to ensure accountability and readiness for surgical cases.
• Follow established protocols for sterilization procedures, including steam sterilization, high-level disinfection (HLD), and Immediate Use Steam Sterilization (IUSS).
• Coordinate with surgical teams to address any instrument needs and ensure timely availability for procedures.

Compliance / Notes:

• Pre-approved time off: 1 (per contract)
• Max 10 days for RTO; none within the first 2 weeks of assignment.
• Completion of up to ~2 hours non-billable compliance modules required pre-start.
