Essential functions include project planning, schedule management, budget oversight, risk assessment, and effective communication with customers and internal teams. Work Schedule Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Professional Communication Manages approval process for all required customer approvals, including drawings; communicates schedule impacts and mitigation options. Ensures all documentation – commercial, technical, quality, logistics/shipping – is appropriately provided. Advises on lead times with quotes and product orders. Facilitates project meetings with clients and proactively tracks all action items. Technical Engineering Competence Develops project approach and works with engineers to provide conceptual sketches, general arrangement drawings, and basic one‑line electrical diagrams; prepares “job traveler.” Engages with customers on all technical questions. Independently recommends design and specification options based on customer application. Provides commissioning and field support on projects as required. Demonstrates high‑quality results through continual attention to detail and early problem anticipation. Budget Management / Financial Acumen Fully accountable for maximizing job profitability. Maintains awareness of quoted budget and seeks margin improvement opportunities. Regularly reviews project profitability and course‑corrects as needed. Manages scope, cost, and change order issues; suggests alternatives to keep projects on track. Conducts post‑job review to ensure accuracy of Epicor details, materials, and profitability. Schedule Management Develops project schedule and grips overall schedule performance for on‑time delivery. Confirms approved schedule meets customer needs and flags production issues. Ensures timely kick‑off, design reviews, and production handovers as defined. Coordinates with operations to align shop capacity with commitments. Proactively updates schedule to identify material or other issues. Risk Management Reviews specifications and proposals to identify scope, requirement, and risk factors. Qualifications Education / Experience: BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with 5–10 years of project‑management experience (or equivalent.) Must read blueprints. Mission‑critical and manufacturing experience desired but not required. Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, business reports, OSHA/MSHA/NEC/NAFPA/UL regulations; write professional RFPs/RFQs, technical drawings, reports, and correspondence; present information to managers, clients, and the public. Collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams. Math Ability: Calculate electrical load ratios, building capacity, design dimensions, percentages, areas, circumferences, volumes; apply algebra, geometry, and mechanical/electrical voltage calculations. Evaluate profit margins, discounts, cash flows, and production costs. Reasoning Ability: Solve complex problems with limited standardization; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: Proficient with AutoCAD/engineering software, Microsoft Office (Excel/Word), and EPICOR project‑management software. Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Safety: Comply with all IE standards; report unsafe conditions; operate safely around machinery. Work Schedule: 40‑hour week with additional time as required.
