We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Crew Member to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly, providing high-quality food and service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to food safety standards.

*Note: Hourly wage includes tips.

Spots open at both of Vela's locations: 71 Court Street and 2307 State Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.

Duties
As a Kitchen Crew Member, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Utilizing proper knife skills for efficient and safe food handling.
• Collaborating with team members to execute catering orders and ensure timely service.
• Adhering to all food handling procedures to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Helping with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
• Coordinate and place produce orders
• Follow menu recipes to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Previous experience in the food industry.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
