Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Fire Alarm Install Technician is capable of independently performing core installation tasks for fire alarm systems. This role is responsible for completing standard installation jobs, while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company quality expectations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Independently install fire alarm systems in accordance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.Complete standard installation projects without direct supervision.Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Perform system testing and basic troubleshooting.Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.Coordinate with team members, contractors, and project stakeholders as needed.Other duties as assigned by management.Education/Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.2+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.Demonstrated ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, installation practices, and applicable codes.NICET Level I or higher is highly preferred.Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).Other Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties as assigned by management.Physical Requirements:Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.Compensation:$24-34 per hour dependent on industry experience plus certifications.Sign on Bonus: $1000KBenefits and Perks:Excellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employeesPye-Barker Fire & Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
