Paralegal

We are seeking a Matrimonial/Family Law Paralegal to join our Hackensack, NJ team!

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate with clients
• Create, scan and maintain files in NetDocuments document library
• Perform conflict searches, external searches, and process client intake forms, schedule consultations
• Prepare, review and edit a wide range of legal documents and correspondence of a confidential nature, ensuring high quality, accuracy and comprehensiveness
• Perform duties with due diligence and a proactive approach
• Establish and maintain a current calendar of events and a deadline reminder system for lawyers – schedule meetings and client appointments
• Act as a liaison between assigned lawyer(s) and clients, internal departments and external affiliates including financial institutions, municipal and government departments as requested
• Enter timesheets into time management system for group's attorneys

• Experience as a legal secretary or paralegal
• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
