About the Position

Jeep of Chicago is looking for a motivated, professional, and customer-focused Automotive Salesperson to join our sales team. The ideal candidate is energetic, confident, goal-oriented, and passionate about helping customers find the right vehicle.

As a Salesperson, you will work directly with customers throughout the vehicle-buying process—from the initial greeting and product presentation to the test drive, negotiation, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide an exceptional buying experience.
• Learn and confidently explain Jeep and other dealership vehicle features, options, and benefits.
• Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives.
• Identify customer needs and recommend vehicles that fit their lifestyle and budget.
• Respond promptly to internet, phone, and walk-in leads.
• Follow up with prospective and previous customers to generate sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity in the dealership's CRM system.
• Work with sales managers and finance personnel to complete vehicle transactions.
• Stay informed about current inventory, pricing, incentives, and manufacturer programs.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales and customer satisfaction goals.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Follow all dealership policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive sales experience is preferred but not required .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer-service mindset.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working toward sales goals.
• Ability to listen to customers and understand their needs.
• Professional, dependable, and enthusiastic.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements:

 

Job Requirements — Automotive Salesperson

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Previous automotive sales experience is preferred, but motivated candidates without experience are welcome to apply .
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with customers.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Comfortable using computers, smartphones, email, and CRM systems.
