This Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant role involves providing comprehensive clinical care within a hospital inpatient setting, working collaboratively under a physician-led team. This position focuses on primary care patients, managing a moderate caseload of approximately 10-20 patients daily. Expectations for this role include performing assessments, developing treatment plans, managing medications, engaging in health promotion, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through teamwork.

 

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and clinical diagnoses
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Manage medication therapy and adjustments
• Educate patients on health management and disease prevention
• Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members
• Promote health initiatives and patient advocacy
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare services

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
• Valid NP or PA license
• Proficiency in clinical assessment and pharmacology
• Experience in patient counseling and advocacy
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and medical documentation
• Skilled in clinical procedures and teamwork
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
