Information Technology (IT) Intern

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide first-level technical support for hospital staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues
- Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Support Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other clinical applications under supervision
- Help manage user accounts, access permissions, and password resets in accordance with security and HIPAA requirements
- Assist with routine IT maintenance, updates, and inventory tracking
- Respond to help desk requests in a timely and professional manner
- Support cybersecurity best practices, including device security and data protection
- Assist with documentation of IT procedures, workflows, and troubleshooting guides
- Collaborate with IT staff on special projects and technology upgrades as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Wear identification while on duty.
- Maintain regulatory requirements, including all state, federal and local regulations.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Comply with all organizational policies.
- Conduct oneself as a professional in accordance with PRIDE values.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school graduate.
- CNA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Medical terminology class (preferred but not required).
