# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN), Medical-Surgical – Texas Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 13-week contract, 4 weekend shifts per month, no call required Highlights:

• 28-bed medical-surgical unit specializing in epilepsy and neurological care
• Patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1 with strong team support including charge nurse and PCTs
• Work with advanced equipment including video EEG, telemetry monitoring, and modern patient care technology
• Meditech EMR system for streamlined documentation
• 13-week contract with no call requirements
• Collaborative team of 32 FTE staff members committed to excellence in patient care

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Texas or compact state licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
• Telemetry experience required
• Hospital experience required; 3+ years of nursing experience preferred
• Epilepsy care experience highly preferred
