Contract | Nights | 3x12s, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients, as ordered by the physician and in accordance with department policies
• Provide respiratory care for patients with respiratory disease across all phases of respiratory therapy, including NICU and pediatric populations
• Work independently as well as provide supervision over others as delegated
• Perform intubation as required
• Complete paperwork, electronic medical records, flow sheets, and patient charges accurately and in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor — required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS) — required at time of hire or within 90 days
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) — required at time of hire or within 90 days
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) — required at time of hire or within 90 days
• Minimum 2 years of NICU and Pediatric respiratory therapy experience
• Ability to perform intubation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential
• Experience working both independently and in a supervisory capacity within a respiratory therapy department
