Microfocus Cobol Developer

We are looking for an experienced Micro Focus COBOL Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications in Unix/Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications using Micro Focus COBOL
Design and support batch processing programs and file-handling systems on Unix/Linux
Work in Unix/Linux environments for execution, deployment, and troubleshooting
Write and optimize SQL queries for data processing, validation, and integration
Implement database interactions from COBOL programs using embedded SQL
Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient COBOL solutions
Debug and resolve issues across application, database, and Unix layers
Support production systems, incident management, and performance tuning
Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to coding standards

Required Skills:

Micro Focus COBOL / Enterprise COBOL
Mainframe DB2 (Application Development)
Unix/Linux Shell Scripting & Environment
Strong SQL skills
Basic knowledge of JavaScript (nice to have)
