Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Pediatric / Adult (Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics)

Contract (13 or 26 Weeks) | 3x12-Hour Variable Shifts | Day and Night Shifts Available | Onsite | Weekends Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across a 28-bed adult ICU, 9-bed PICU, and 66-bed Level 3 NICU, as well as floor therapy
• Administer a full range of RT therapies including NIV, high flow, nebulizers, CPT, nitric oxide, and Flolan nebulizer treatments
• Operate and manage ventilators including Draeger (adult), Servo-I (PICU/NICU), 3100A, 3100B, and Jet ventilators (NICU)
• Float within scope to cover NICU, PICU, and adult units as facility needs require
• Provide care in a Level II Trauma environment for both adult and pediatric patients , including support for open heart surgery cases
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic charting system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Level 3 or 4 NICU or PICU experience — required, no exceptions
• Trauma experience required
• Active Alaska state license or valid compact license in hand at time of submission (pending license accepted, but license must be in hand for offer)
• BLS and CRT certifications required
• Must be available to work weekends and commit to working at least 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day; availability for the Christmas holiday is required
• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS, NRP, PALS, and/or RRT certifications preferred
• Experience across all levels — Level 3 NICU, PICU, and Adult ICU — is strongly desired
• Familiarity with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, and Servo-I ventilator platforms
• First-time travel assignment candidates are welcome to apply
