Activity Assistant Requirements :
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ohio STNA certification and 1-2 years of long-term care experience preferred
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn required software
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions and respond promptly
- Help plan, implement, and evaluate activities that support residents' social, recreational, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Encourage resident participation in group programs, hobbies, crafts, religious activities, and community outings
- Build positive relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging environment
- Assist with activity schedules, attendance records, program evaluations, supplies, and other required documentation
- Provide individual visits and activities for residents who are unable to attend group programs
- Help transport residents to outings and coordinate activities with families and other departments
- Observe and promptly report changes in residents' conditions, safety concerns, hazards, or suspected abuse or neglect
- Protect resident confidentiality and follow all safety, emergency, and organizational procedures
