Registered Nurse (RN) - Flex Pool

Shift Information

This position involves 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, with a scheduled 36 hours per week following the initial week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours beyond the scheduled 36 per week.

General Job Duties

The role encompasses floating across various medical and surgical units as needed. Responsibilities include:

Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Adapting to different units, including medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units.
Monitoring patient conditions and reporting significant changes to the healthcare team.
Utilizing equipment such as Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes efficiently.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
Active state license required by the start of the assignment; applications must be submitted upon job offer if not already licensed.
Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required; additional certifications such as PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are preferred.

Unit Information

Medical Unit: 77 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights.
Laulima Surgical Unit: 18 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6.
Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds; Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4, but may vary depending on staffing needs.

Additional Information

Holiday coverage is required.
Professional nursing attire with clean scrubs is mandatory.
Orientation and training will be provided for each unit.
