About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for is required. Recent experience must include 18 months in the emergency room. Travel experience will suffice for the required experience. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license is required at the time of submission. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. TNCC certification is preferred. Must-Have: Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Traveler will receive a maximum of two attempts to pass these assessments. Description: The position is for an emergency room registered nurse on the day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Candidates must have a mix of permanent experience in the specialty applying for. References from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty are required. Required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission. All travelers are expected to be nicotine-free, except for nurses and certified surgical techs. A negative drug screen, including nicotine, is required within 12 months of starting. Candidates may extend their contracts for a period of 18 months, followed by a required 6-month break. Annual hands-on competency requirements will apply to traveling nurses who remain on continuous contracts.
