The Maintenance Lead shall act as support staff to the maintenance supervisor concerning the execution of all maintenance and assigned tasks within their assigned area of responsibility, including oversight of the team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance activities on facilities and equipment, while prioritizing safety and adhering to company standards, often by evaluating system needs, managing work orders, and providing technical guidance to team members. In the absence of the production supervisor the Lead will supervise employees throughout the department while carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

Takes responsibility for department activities; provides regular performance feedback; continually works to improve leadership skills. Knowledge of manufacturing equipment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed. Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory. Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for Preventative Controls. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Maintenance Technician Associates or Industrial Technician Degree. 5 years of experience in a maintenance technician role. A combination of education and experience may be considered to meet position requirements. Maintain necessary certification for operations of powered industrial equipment.
