Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant – Media/Entertainment firm in New York City – responsibilities include: Assist with the month-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for multiple business entities. Perform general ledger accounting activities, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately within the ERP system. Complete monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving variances as needed. Prepare financial analyses, account schedules, and reporting packages to support management's review of operating results. Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals by providing requested schedules, documentation, and financial support during audits and compliance activities. Participate in finance process improvement initiatives, helping streamline accounting procedures and enhance system efficiency. Work closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to established deadlines. Qualified candidates should possess: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 3+ years of experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
