Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team. The RN will provide high-quality, rapid assessment and treatment to patients in critical or life-threatening situations while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and prioritize incoming patients based on acuity and presenting symptoms.
- Deliver direct patient care including medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and emergency interventions.
- Monitor patient condition and respond quickly to changes in status or emergencies.
- Collaborate with emergency physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, diagnoses, and follow-up care.
- Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
- Support patient flow, bed turnover, and coordination with ancillary departments.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN or BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Emergency Room or critical care experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to remain calm under pressure.
