Respiratory Therapist (PRN) – Day Shift – Owasso, OK Join our team as a day shift, PRN, Respiratory Therapist in Owasso, OK. Responsibilities Set up and operate various types of respiratory equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease or illness. Administer respiratory‑specific gases, medications, and modes of therapy, and respond to emergencies throughout the hospital. Advise on arterial blood gas results. Assist in the transport of mechanically ventilated patients. Assist in ordering department supplies. Takes and records verbal and telephone orders from physicians as necessary. Act as a resource person to nurses, physicians, residents, interns, respiratory staff, students, and other hospital staff regarding initiation and operation of all respiratory procedures. Assume a charge role in the absence of the Respiratory Supervisor. Participate in departmental in‑service/education programs. Participate in quality assurance programs and departments and/or BMC committees. Work schedule includes alternate weekends and holidays. Perform all other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Associated Degree in Respiratory Care. Minimum of 1 year of experience. Oklahoma CRT license (upon hire). RRT license for Registered Respiratory Therapist ONLY (upon hire). BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transferred into the role and before providing direct patient care. ACLS within 30 days of hire.
