Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Redford, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Bring strong communication and customer service skills while working with an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an automotive manufacturing or distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, access points, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verifying authorization in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual observations in clear, accurate reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
