We are hiring a Solutions Specialist - Switchgear to join our team!

What You’ll Do

The Solutions Specialist delivers exceptional support to customers and vendor partners by providing accurate, timely, and effective solutions. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term business relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and driving revenue growth within the switchgear business. Through technical expertise, strategic account management, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, the Switchgear Sales professional contributes to the achievement of overall sales objectives and the continued growth of the organization.  

Sales & Customer Service:  

• Develop new business opportunities while growing and maintaining relationships with existing customers within the assigned territory.

• Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to identify and capitalize on gear opportunities, provide product guidance, and support customers throughout the sales process.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of assigned and prospective accounts, including their products, operations, and service requirements, to identify opportunities for revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

• Track and document bid activity, sales performance, bid outcomes, sales objectives, and competitive market intelligence.

• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive conditions within the assigned territory to identify growth opportunities and support strategic planning.

• Manage vendor relationships and collaborate closely with key gear suppliers to support business objectives, product availability, and operational efficiency.

Administrative:

• Ensure all bids and proposals are accurate, complete, and compliant with customer specifications and mandatory requirements.

• Provide technical support and product expertise to customers, leveraging industry knowledge to deliver value-added solutions and drive sales growth.

• Support and strengthen strategic initiatives with key customer accounts to enhance long-term partnerships and business development opportunities.

• Assist in the training and development of Inside Sales and Counter Sales associates by sharing product knowledge, sales best practices, and customer service expertise as needed.

What You’ll Bring

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma

• Previous sales experience required

• Equivalent combination of education and experience.  

• Bachelor’s degree is highly desired but not a requirement.

Requirements:

• Gear Industry experience

• Ability to read blueprints and specifications to provide expert consultation on sales opportunities.

• A self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervision

• High energy individual with the ability to work with a wide range of personalities 

• Ability to adapt to a fast pace changing environment and to approach challenges with creativity and resourcefulness 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Initiative and self-direction; can apply knowledge and make sound judgment to effectively resolve issues 

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and management
