Residential Counselor- Apple Valley

Location 7581 9th St N, Suite 100, Oakdale, MN 55128 Position Overview Job's House is hiring multiple candidates for Residential Counselor trained in CPI prevention, EUMR, FBA, and PSTP. The role is available at BT levels II, III, and IV. Candidates should have experience working in a fast‑paced 2:1 or 3:1 setting such as hospital, residential care facilities, or school settings. This high‑intensity level of care program includes periods of intensive interventions and multidisciplinary support. Successful applicants will be skilled in behavioral analysis, de‑escalation, documentation, and professional communication. Skills and Experience 2+ years of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and chronic medical conditions (preferred) Strong communication and documentation skills (requirement) Ability to interpret behavioral trends Experience with person‑centered thinking and planning (preferred) Judgment and decision‑making skills to handle crisis situations and day‑to‑day events Minimum Requirements 1+ year of experience with autism Ability to work in a group setting of 2:1 staff to client ratio or higher Ability to maintain professionalism with clients and their support teams Bachelor's degree in Behavioral/Social Science or equivalent, or 2‑year degree with 2 years behavioral health experience 4 years of behavioral health experience and 2 years of Positive Support training Must be at least 18 years of age Previous experience with ASD and ABA therapy (recommended) Job Types and Pay Job Types: Evenings 3 pm–11 pm; Awake Overnight 11 pm–7 am; Weekend doubles Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
