Position Description: Better Tomorrows is a mission-focused not for profit organization. We are working to alleviate poverty by providing programs, supportive services, and case management to over 26,000 residents of affordable housing in more than 100 communities across the nation and in Hawaii and the Virgin Islands.
We are searching for an experienced Social Services professional and reliable individual to engage residents including families and seniors in the coordination of activities and programs.
Duties:\tChampion the vision and drive service delivery at several affordable housing property serving all residents including children and families, adult and senior residents, and any individuals with special needs
\tManage all facets of programming and service delivery by working collaboratively with community stakeholders, property residents, and property manager on site
\tDevelop and implement on-site programs to meet the needs of residents, including:
\tArts and Crafts, Wellness, and Nutrition Education Workshops
\tFood Banks and Financial Literacy programs to promote stability and self-sufficiency
\tHealth & Wellness programs to promote physical, mental, and general wellbeing
\tDevelop and implement community-wide events focused on building safe and strong communities
\tParticipate in onsite partner meetings, build a network of community partners
\tDevelop and implement services based on community needs and resident feedback
\tConduct one-on-one case management services to support residents of the community, adhering to case management and social work ethics
\tLeverage, nurture and cultivate key community partnerships to forge new and stronger relationships to maximize available programs and services for residents
\tInput data to track case management progress, demographic information, and program outcomes
\tAdopt a customer service first attitude that ensures residents, partners, and the community at large receives the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate environment
\tPerform other duties as requested
Minimum Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish preferred \tMinimum three (3) to five (5) years work experience in Social Service Delivery
\tBachelors degree in Social Work, Education or related field is preferred
\tExcellent verbal, written, and inter-personal skills
\tOrganized, reliable and flexible
\tPrior knowledge of affordable housing and area social service resources
\tKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps and other software programs
\tAbility to work a flexible schedule 9 am 5 pm, occasional evenings or weekends\tAbility to safely lift 25 pounds
