Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable SpecialistA large company is working with LHH to identify a temporary Accounts Payable Specialist for their team. You will be handling full cycle accounts payable for a set of vendors. The ideal candidate will have at least a year of accounting experience and be interested in cultivating a long-term career in accounting. There is a lot of opportunity to grow at this company, and for the right individual, this could turn into permanent employment. This position offers a quick interview process and a convenient location north of Seattle.Responsibilities:Process high-volume vendor invoices from receipt through payment, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely entry into the accounting system.Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to verify approval and compliance with company policies.Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, approvals, payment processing, and vendor account reconciliation.Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, wire transfers, and other electronic payment methods within established deadlines.Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing issues by coordinating with vendors and internal departments.Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9 documentation, payment terms, tax information, and banking details.Assist with month-end and year-end close activities by preparing AP accruals, reconciling AP subledger balances, and supporting audit requests.Qualifications:Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.At least a year of accounting experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, pivot tables, and basic formulas.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and manage competing priorities.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.Customer-service mindset with the ability to build positive vendor relationships.Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.00 per hourSearch managed by: Brittany Cona Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
