Product Marketing Manager – Performance Audio

About the Role

As the Product Marketing Manager – Performance Audio, you will help shape how our audio products are positioned, launched, and sustained in market.

Working across our Performance Audio brands, you will partner with Product Strategy, Product Management, Engineering, Brand Marketing, Commercial, and regional teams to translate complex product technology into clear, compelling consumer benefits.

As a trusted product expert and evangelist, you will influence the full product lifecycle — from early proposition development through launch, training, market engagement, and post-launch optimization.

What You Will Do

• Shape Product Strategy & Positioning: Bring consumer, market, competitive, dealer, and media insights into product development while defining compelling value propositions, benefits, proof points, and differentiation.
• Own the Product Narrative: Translate complex technology and performance into clear, credible messaging that communicates what the product is, who it is for, why it matters, and why it wins.
• Drive Product Marketing Readiness: Develop messaging frameworks, product presentations, technical narratives, comparison guidance, and other materials supporting successful product introductions.
• Serve as a Product Expert: Partner with Product Management, Engineering, R&D, acoustics, and design to build deep product expertise and present products to internal teams, retailers, dealers, distributors, and partners.
• Enable Training & Market Engagement: Partner with Training, PR, and Communications to develop product education, masterclasses, technical briefings, demonstrations, and specialist media support.
• Support Launch & Commercial Execution: Partner with Brand Marketing and Commercial/GTM teams to provide the product foundation needed for campaigns, launches, dealer sell-in, and sell-through.
• Optimize Product Performance: Monitor competitors, category trends, reviews, and market feedback to continuously refine messaging, training, competitive guidance, and future product strategy.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Technical Marketing, or a related role, ideally within audio, consumer electronics, technology, or another technically complex consumer category.
• Demonstrated experience developing product positioning, value propositions, messaging, benefit hierarchies, and supporting new product introductions.
• Strong technical curiosity with the ability to understand complex products and translate technology into simple, compelling consumer benefits.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling skills across technical, commercial, and external audiences.
• Strong commercial and consumer instincts with an understanding of competitive positioning, market dynamics, and consumer needs.
• Proven ability to influence without direct authority and collaborate across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Commercial, and regional teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple products, launches, and priorities.

• Experience within audio, home entertainment, or consumer electronics.
• A strong personal interest in audio, music, home entertainment, or consumer technology.
• Experience with technically sophisticated or enthusiast-driven product categories.
• Experience presenting or demonstrating products to media, retailers, dealers, or other external audiences.
• Experience working within a global organization across multiple markets and time zones.
• Experience using consumer, competitive, and commercial insights to influence future products or features.

• Be willing to work from the Owings Mills, MD or Carlsbad, CA office in a hybrid model.

Pay Transparency $ 84,750 - $ 124,300 Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission. Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
