Vice President of Global Sales Beacon EmbeddedWorks The VP of Global Sales will lead, teach, and help build a technology/product‑driven sales organization by setting a personal example of strategic leadership, sales growth, and exemplary customer care. The key objective is to drive business development efforts for both existing and new customers while positioning the company for continued geographic expansion and strategic growth. The role is based at the company’s headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN and will require some business travel. Local candidates are preferred, but remote will be considered for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership by developing and executing global sales strategies, processes, and operating models required for sustained growth Direct responsibility for all sales/business‑development activities across the company for existing and new customers Individually manage key customer relationships and lead in securing large‑scale, $10M+ blue‑chip accounts Participate personally in closing key strategic opportunities and setting a high bar for business development excellence Other Benefits Multiple options for medical and dental coverages Paid life insurance and disability coverage 401k with match 128 hours of time off per year to start Paid holidays Essential Skills and Experience A strategic sales leader with a proven track record of developing and executing global growth strategies in similar markets Demonstrated success in winning and growing $10M+ blue‑chip accounts, ideally in medical, aerospace/defense, or industrial markets An experienced, commercially driven business leader with a proven track record of successfully growing a similar sized sales organization, ideally at the Vice President or senior leadership level A technical background, ideally with a degree in electronics. MBA degree preferred Experience with similar technology products is highly desired. Previous specific SOM technical knowledge is not essential as training will be given as required Financially literate with sound business judgement and strong top‑line focus and commercial instincts Excellent planning and organizing skills and proven ability to develop a team that may be partially remote from head office Fluent in English Personal attributes Target driven and results focused Strong communication skills; a confident and effective communicator, able to manage relationships effectively, both internally and externally Ability to adopt small/large company image Natural leader and motivator of people Thinks strategically while executing tactically; able to translate vision into actionable plans and results Genuinely customer-focused, motivated by developing customer‑centric strategies and mobilising the business to deliver against them Collaborative and a strong team player, able to inspire, engage, and align teams across functions A committed, energetic, and passionate individual with an objective, sleeves rolled up, down-to-earth, hard-working style; low-ego, easy to get along with and non-bureaucratic High integrity, good sense of humor, and a strong commitment to organizational and ethical values Willingness to travel as much as required in line with the requirements of the Vice President of Global Sales role Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent Practical Requirements The candidate must meet the definition of “US Person” under ITAR/EAR regulations Company Overview Beacon EmbeddedWorks is a full-service provider of embedded solutions.
