Social Worker

Big Minds, Tiny Hands is seeking a compassionate and motivated Social Worker to provide home-based Early Intervention services to children from birth to age three with developmental delays.This role may include providing Special Instruction and/or Social Work services , depending on qualifications and program needs. Services are delivered in the child's natural environment, with a strong focus on supporting developmental growth and empowering families.This is a fee-for-service position offering flexible scheduling. Training will be provided for qualified candidates who are new to Early Intervention or Special Instruction services.ResponsibilitiesDirect Service DeliveryProvide home-based services to children and familiesDeliver Special Instruction and/or Social Work services based on IFSP goalsSupport social-emotional development, behavior, and daily functioningUse play-based, routine-based, and family-centered strategiesIncorporate caregiver coaching to promote skill development in daily routinesAssessment & DocumentationParticipate in evaluations and assessments as neededComplete daily session notes in compliance with Early Intervention requirementsPrepare and submit progress reports within required timelinesMonitor child and family progress and adjust interventions as neededFamily Support & CollaborationProvide guidance to families on behavior management, routines, and developmentMaintain consistent communication with caregiversSupport families in accessing resources and implementing strategies at homeCoordination & ComplianceCollaborate with service coordinators and multidisciplinary team membersFollow all New York State Early Intervention Program regulationsEnsure timely submission of required documentation and formsMaintain compliance with service and billing standardsQualificationsRequiredMaster's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related fieldActive New York State License (LMSW or LCSW) preferredStrong communication and organizational skillsInterest in working with young children and familiesPreferredExperience with Early Intervention or pediatric populationExperience providing Special Instruction servicesBilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plusType: Fee-for-Service (1099 or W-2 based on agency structure)Setting: Home-based / community-basedSchedule: Flexible, based on availabilityCaseload: Assigned based on location and availabilityTraining: Provided for Special Instruction and Early Intervention servicesWhy Join Big Minds, Tiny HandsFlexible schedule and autonomyTraining and support for new providersOpportunity to work closely with families in natural environmentsCollaborative and supportive teamMeaningful work supporting early childhood developmentJ-18808-Ljbffr
