Job Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough patient evaluations, conducting physical examinations and comprehensive medical history analyses
  • Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results
  • Work closely with surgeons in developing and implementing tailored surgical treatment plans
  • Provide critical intraoperative support, preparing operating rooms, ensuring patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments
  • Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care including managing medications, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program
  • A strong preference for clinical rotations focused on surgical practice
Certifications
  • Current and unrestricted PA-C certification mandatory
  • Required certifications in BLS and ACLS
  • State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Required Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of surgical protocols and sterile techniques
  • Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests and contributing to nuanced clinical decisions
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal capabilities
