Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years working experience preferred in a hospital setting. Epic experience is REQUIRED. No first-time travelers; minimum of one successful travel assignment is required with no performance or attendance issues. License: Valid state or compact license required at the time of submission. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. NIH required. Must-Have: Epic charting experience within the past year is required. Charting experience must be noted next to each assignment on the profile. Description: This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse. Candidates must have recent Epic experience. Travelers are expected to float to Med/Surg when necessary. Weekend requirements include a minimum of 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period. A patient ratio of 1:2 is typical, with occasional 1:3 ratios. Key diagnoses and procedures include CRRT, cardiac surgery, respiratory failure, and altered mental status. The unit is equipped for central line management and basic dysrhythmia training is required. Management of patients with multiple drips is expected. This facility is an acute care hospital with a total of 171 staffed beds. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. The policy emphasizes a zero-fault attendance system, where missed shifts may lead to warnings or cancellation. Travelers must commit to a strict attendance policy and adhere to all scheduled shifts. This role may involve the management of patients undergoing cardiac procedures including post-operative care. All candidates must be familiar with EPIC charting and acknowledge the requirements outlined in this posting.
