Building Custodian

As a building custodian you look after a residential building on a steady routine. Each day you sweep, mop and clean the shared areas, take out the trash and recycling, and keep the entrance and front desk area tidy. Shifts are 8 hours, during the day, on a fixed schedule, so you always know what your week looks like. The Job You keep the building clean and welcoming for the residents who live there. On a typical shift you will: Sweep, mop and clean lobbies, hallways, stairwells and other common areas Collect and take out trash and recycling Keep entrances and the front desk area clean and tidy Schedule This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, on 8-hour day shifts. There are no night shifts. Schedules are fixed but vary by building, for example 8am to 4pm, or 12pm to 8pm on trash collection days, and include weekends and holidays.
