Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

General Summary:

• As a member of the Executive Leadership Committee, the CAO will serve as a credible, knowledgeable and trusted resource to the CEO and other senior leaders.
• The CAO will provide leadership to the compliance and organizational improvement, business development, facilities and maintenance, vocational rehabilitation and care coordination teams of the organization.
• The CAO will oversee the implementation of new business and program development while ensuring the efficiency and efficacy of existing infrastructure.
• The CAO will offer expertise and knowledge in requirements of new programs and business lines, new and existing grant or other funding source opportunities.
• The CAO will offer quality, meaningful analyses, and technical perspectives necessary for corporate decisions and strategic planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with senior leaders on the strategic vision of the organization including cultivating and fostering strategic relationships and potential alliances.
• Partner with the CEO and other senior leaders on operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations.
• Lead in responding to new developments and emerging issues, and to inquiries regarding potential business opportunities.
• Oversee the implementation of new programs or business lines to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
• Evaluate and manage the agency’s strategic messaging and activities for the purpose of maintaining and increasing business opportunities and service delivery.
• Monitor the agency’s facilities needs and growth projections and work with the CEO to acquire additional facility resources, as needed.
• Maintain a thorough, up to date knowledge of certification, legal and accreditation standards and provide consultation based on this knowledge to agency personnel and ensure the agency’s ongoing compliance with all relevant compliance standards
• Recruit, hire, provide necessary evaluations and appropriate personnel actions for all direct reporting staff in collaboration with Human Resources department.
• Provide regular supervision and management to all direct reporting employees.
• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for psychiatric services, clerical/administrative operations, and community health center programming to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
• Supervise multidisciplinary teams including psychiatric providers, medical directors, nursing staff, clerical personnel, and support staff.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows that promote efficient and effective service delivery.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and client-centered care across all departments
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Position Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in health or healthcare administration field
• 7+ years in health care administration with at least 5 years in senior level healthcare management
• Excellent understanding of the behavioral health industry in order to assess the viability of business development opportunities
