Superior Skilled Trades is seeking  Fire Caulkers for an immediate start in  Sparks, NV!

LONG-TERM PROJECT, 40 HOURS/WEEK!

• PAY: $28-$30/hour (based upon experience)
• HOURS: 40+ hours/week
• SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday; 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
• START DATE: ASAP
• LOCATION: Reno, NV

Fire Caulker Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Fire Caulkers to perform firestopping work throughout multiple large data center buildings located within the same construction project. The Fire Caulker will be responsible for properly sealing penetrations and joints in walls, floors, ceilings, shafts, and other rated building assemblies to maintain required fire-resistance ratings.

Daily responsibilities will include walking throughout the project site and working in different areas of the data center buildings. The employee will install approved firestop systems around cable trays, conduits, pipes, sleeves, ducts, and other penetrations using firestop caulks, sealants, mortars, foams, collars, wraps, and other approved materials.

Qualifications for Fire Caulker:

• Previous firestopping/fire caulking experience in a commercial construction environment
• Experience installing firestop systems around electrical, mechanical, and plumbing penetrations
• Knowledge of firestop caulks, sealants, mortars, foams, collars, and wraps
• Ability to properly prepare surfaces, including cleaning, masking, and installing backing materials
• Ability to follow UL-listed and/or manufacturer-tested firestop systems
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, firestop system details, and product installation instructions
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Must be comfortable working throughout large active construction sites and walking between multiple buildings
• Must be able to safely use hand tools and required PPE
• Must be able to perform job duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, bending, crouching, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Position requires use of PPE including steel-toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves, and a hard hat with chin strap

Additional Requirements for Fire Caulker:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site
