Job Information Area High School_Community Coach- Track and Field (S W DeKal HS) 2025-2026 JobID: 21741 Date Posted: 5/12/2026 Location: Southwest DeKalb High School About the Position Southwest DeKalb High School is seeking a motivated Track and Field Community Coach who has a passion for working with high school students. The ideal candidate should have excellent instructional delivery skills and the ability to communicate with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach in the sport that they express an interest. The candidate must be willing to assist the Head Coach in game techniques and strategies to prepare them for competition, determine the need for individual or team improvement, and accept directions from the Head Coach at all times. A Lay Coach will be required to assist with maintaining inventory of athletic equipment, maintain up to date knowledge of first aid techniques, and maintain locker rooms and playing facilities. Community Coaches are temporary positions and must be renewed annually. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Permits Georgia High School Association Lay Coaching Certificate required. Valid certificate in first aid required.
