We are looking for an energetic, organized, and confident Customer Service & Sales Representative who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and turning customer inquiries into scheduled work. About the Position As a Customer Service & Sales Representative, you are often the first impression a customer has of Mr. Handyman . You will speak with homeowners about their repair and improvement needs, ask questions to understand their projects, explain our services and pricing, and help customers confidently move forward with scheduling their work. This is not simply a receptionist or order- taking position. You are an important member of our sales and production team. Your ability to qualify opportunities, convert customer inquiries into appointments, follow up on opportunities, and build productive schedules directly contributes to the success of our Service Professionals and the company. Compensation Base Pay: $20-$23 per hour , based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, you will have the opportunity to earn a monthly performance bonus of up to $600 based on measurable individual and team results. Performance incentives reward Converting qualified customer inquiries into scheduled appointments Helping maintain productive Service Professional schedules Following up with customers and recovering additional work opportunities Maintaining high standards for booking quality and customer service Strong performers can earn approximately $45,000-$53,000+ annually , depending on base pay and performance. What You'll Do Answer incoming customer calls in a professional, friendly, and confident manner Ask effective questions to understand and qualify customer repair, maintenance, and improvement needs Explain our services, capabilities, pricing, and the value of working with Mr. Handyman Convert qualified customer inquiries into scheduled appointments Follow up with customers who have requested service but have not yet scheduled Identify opportunities for additional repairs, maintenance, and home improvement work Schedule and dispatch Service Professionals efficiently Help maintain productive schedules and minimize gaps in the workday Communicate schedule updates between customers, Service Professionals, and the office Maintain accurate customer, project, and scheduling information in our business system Process customer payments and perform related administrative functions Respond professionally to customer questions, concerns, and complaints Work closely with our Service Professionals to gather the information needed to properly sell and schedule customer projects Participate in customer follow-up and marketing initiatives Assist with other office responsibilities and cross-training as needed What Success Looks Like Our Customer Service & Sales Representatives don't simply answer phones — they help create the work that drives our business . You'll know you're succeeding when you are: Converting qualified customer inquiries into appointments Accurately qualifying projects before scheduling Building productive schedules for our Service Professionals Following up consistently on open opportunities Recovering work that might otherwise have been lost Identifying opportunities for additional customer work Maintaining accurate customer and job information Working as part of a team to achieve company sales, service, and production goals What We're Looking For Previous customer service, inside sales, scheduling, or similar experience preferred Comfortable discussing pricing, selling services, and asking customers to schedule Strong verbal and written communication skills Friendly, confident, and professional telephone presence Ability to listen carefully and ask effective questions Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal responsibility Motivated by goals and measurable results Strong organizational and multitasking skills Detail-oriented with accurate data-entry skills Comfortable using computers, business software, and spreadsheets General knowledge of home maintenance, repair, remodeling, or construction is helpful but not required Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals Dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn our services and continually improve customer service and sales skills What We Offer $20-$23/hour base pay Monthly performance bonus opportunity up to $600 Paid training Paid vacation after one year Matching 401(k) Monday-Friday work environment Established and growing local business Supportive team environment Opportunity to develop valuable customer service, sales, scheduling, and home improvement industry knowledge Please note: Health insurance is not currently offered.
