Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

A well-established behavioral health organization is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric care and medication management for adolescents in a residential treatment setting. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving outcomes for youth facing significant mental health and behavioral health challenges. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adolescent residents. Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications according to evidence-based practices. Provide ongoing psychiatric care, medication reviews, and clinical follow-up. Collaborate with therapists, case managers, nursing staff, and other treatment team members. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings. Provide clinical leadership during psychiatric crises and support safety planning efforts. Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate care with families, legal guardians, hospitals, community providers, and referral sources as appropriate. Qualifications Required: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization. Active APRN licensure. Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).Current DEA registration and prescribing authority. Minimum of two years of experience working with children and/or adolescents in a behavioral health setting. Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Preferred: Residential treatment facility (RTF) experience. Knowledge of Medicaid and behavioral health regulatory requirements. Experience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment modalities. Experience serving youth involved in child welfare or juvenile justice systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
