Our multifamily apartment community, is searching for well-rounded individuals to join our Maintenance Technician Trainee/Groundskeeper Program. This position will be shared between two properties in Colorado Springs, CO
Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician Trainee Program will provide the trainee with exposure to the property management industry, knowledge of multi-family residential maintenance and make ready requirements and will provide training and the opportunity to build maintenance skills over the course of 3 to 6 months. Trainees who excel in the program may be offered a position within the company at the end of the program.
Trainee Program will include training in the following areas:Complete apartment turnovers within prescribed time limits.
Groundskeeper responsibilities, curb appeal, janitorial responsibilites
Respond and diagnose work orders and determine the most cost-effective method of repair.
Maintain the grounds and building exteriors in a fashion that enhances curb appeal.
Provide exceptional customer service to community prospects and residents that are encountered daily.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager as deemed appropriate to meet goals and objectives established for the property.
This position may require regional travel.
Qualifications and SkillsPrior Property Management Experience not required
Minimal experience with hand tools, power tools, minor repairs is preferred
Customer Service orientedProfessional appearance and the ability to communicate effectively and articulately.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to be part of a team.
Local and regional travel may be required.
