Family Law Attorney

Burke Law seeks a dedicated and dynamic Part-Time Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert legal counsel and advocacy in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, visitation, and support cases. Duties Represent clients in family law cases, including negotiations, mediations, court proceedings, and drafting premarital, post-marital, and cohabitation agreements Draft and review legal documents such as petitions, motions, settlement agreements, and court pleadings Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw to support case strategies Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case theories, and coordinating witness testimony Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates, explain legal options, and gather necessary information Manage case files efficiently using legal case management software Assist with court depositions and participate in procedural law activities to ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements Experience Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active CA Bar admission Proven experience in client advising and courtroom advocacy Strong knowledge of statutory legal research and procedural law Demonstrated ability in negotiation, legal drafting, and trial preparation Excellent writing skills—ability to produce clear, concise legal documents and motions Empathetic advocacy and professional integrity Join us to make a difference in clients' lives through compassionate legal representation.
