For the last 6 out of 7 years, Capital Bank was named one of the "Best Banks to Work For" in the U.S. by American Banker.Position PurposeThis position is responsible for analyzing financial data, developing and monitoring budgets, and providing financial and strategic insights for Windsor Advantage (“Windsor”) amongst other areas of Capital Bank or Capital Bancorp. The role evaluates budget proposals and monitors and helps plan for future financial needs. This role partners closely with department heads, finance teams and senior leadership to provide decision support and financial analysis.Position ResponsibilitiesPartner with finance and Windsor leadership to create financial plans and forecastsOwnership of the financial model and financial modeling process for Windsor, as well as integrating modeling within Oracle EPMCreate monthly Windsor Board report with financial, operational, sales, & other information as needed and other entities where applicableLead monthly touchpoint meeting with Finance, Windsor leadership, and other areas of Capital Bank to discuss and review financial performanceComplete annual plan/budget and forecast cycles in coordination with the finance teamAssist with strategic planning process and creation of deliverablesComplete ad hoc financial analysesSupport strategic initiatives and cost-benefit analyses and scenario modelingAnalyze variances between actual and forecasted results, identifying trends and opportunitiesMinimum Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience requiredA minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking and/or accounting; general banking experience preferredUnderstanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Experience and understanding of financial statements including income statement, balance sheet and cash flowsExposure to finance and accounting is necessaryTechnical Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of the principles of providing a high level of customer service with internal customers.Excellent communication skills are needed in dealing with employees and management.Planning and decision-making skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in group situations to staff and Management.Must work well with deadlines and be very detail oriented.CompensationBase Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually / hourly. Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
