The role:

Guarantee the availability of all machines / equipment and facilities, optimizing human and technical resources.

Main responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

• Plan and carry out the necessary preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with the Work Orders (WO) and resources available, following the strategy laid down by the Production Manager.

• Propose annual maintenance budget.

• Monthly monitoring of the annual maintenance budget. Management of deviations.

• Purchase any spare parts according to the Saica purchases procedure.

• Management of maintenance spare parts and consumables warehouse

• Management of maintenance subcontracting.

• Active involvement in the health and safety of his/her colleagues and that of subcontracted companies, ensuring compliance with the procedures for the assignment of equipment in maintenance interventions.

• Keep machine safety systems active.

• Encourage colleagues and subcontracted companies to respect criteria of tidiness and cleanliness in their work.

• Analyze repetitive and major breakdowns and propose action plans to correct them.

• Co-ordinate issues concerning staff with HR

• Organize and actively participate in the assembly of new machines and facilities, ensuring safety of the new machines and general facilities.

• Fulfil and promote Health and Safety procedures.

• To take responsibility for controlling requests, acceptance, filing and logistics of machine technical documentation (exploded views, drawings, etc.)

• Co-operate in investment plans for the site.

• Provide support for continuous improvement activities and plan and carry out the annual continuous improvement plan.

• Prepare and monitor the training plan for team members, encouraging multi-skilling.

• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are respected, and machines are in proper conditions. Preventive maintenance and calibration is respected.

• Coordinate with production and logistic departments the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Identify training needs of their staff and coordinate the implementation of the training using the defined methodology.

• Implement, encourage and sustain the group management system in production area.

Minimum requirements

Academic qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.

Master's degree in engineering or related field preferred. Black Belt or Green Belt certification a plus.

Professional experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a similar post, preferably in the same sector or similar.
